In order of priority, Alan Schoolcraft is a Christian, husband and father of two. He practiced law for several years but most of his adult life has been spent building successful software companies. As a business entrepreneur he knows what it takes to create jobs while paying taxes and navigating mountains of rules and regulations. He now serves as Texas State House Representative in District 44. This area covers all of Gonzales and Guadalupe County.
Alan previously served for 12 years as a member of the Texas House of Representatives. He represented northeast Bexar County from 1981 to 1993.
Alan received his BBA degree from the University of Texas in Austin in 1973. After serving a tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force, Alan graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School in San Antonio, ranking first in his class.
Alan and his wife, Joette, live on the banks of the Guadalupe river in McQueeney, Texas. His son runs the family ranch in New Berlin and his daughter is an attorney/homemaker in Austin. Alan’s priority issues are border security, education policy, property tax reform and eradicating
the woke agenda from all levels of our state government and from our education systems.
